Chateau Lalande 2017 75cl

£31.95

Tasting Note

A wine that possesses all the richness and power that you should expect from a classed Saint-Julien estate, but at half the price. Textbook pencil lead, tea chest nose with a well structured palate of intense cassis fruit and fine grained tannins. 93/100

Producer

From the consistent and often underrated Bordeaux appellation of Saint-Julien, this gem of a Petit Château on the left bank of the Gironde is well worthy of its position between the more famous Château Talbot and third growth Château Lagrange, of which it was once a part. Since 1964, the winery has been owned by the Meffre family, and today it is managed Jean-Paul and his two sons, Ludovic and Julien.
