Domaine Chofflet Givry Heritage 2018 75cl

£27.95

Tasting Note

"The nose reveals fragrances of fresh pitted berries (shades of cherry, Morello cherry) underpinned by a raspberry texture. To the taste, this wine is full-bodied and refined, with plenty of elegance and personality"

Producer

After a varied career bath, including business school, military school and working on a farm in Argentina, Jonathan Brunot took over this Domaine from his father-in-law Denis Valdenaire in June 2019, after a three-year apprenticeship. He was responsible for returning tot he original name "Domaine Chofflet" and follows in his father-in-law's footsteps by practicing la viticulture raisonnee, meaning that weeding has been strictly carried out by hand since 2017.

Located in Russilly, a hamlet within the commune of Givry, the vineyards are spread over several parcels within this hamlet and the red-coloured earth is composed of clay and limestone. The property dates back to 1710 and extends over 15 hectares.
