Tasting Note

A bright and clean rose, very pretty with subtle vegetal notes coming through. A delicious fragrant wine.

Producer

You find the vineyards of Chateau Jouclary in the south of France, where the world's most romantic and
atmospheric medieval castle nestles ni the heart of the city of Carcassonne. Close by, in 1530, vineyards were planted by the Guilaume de Jouclary, Consul of Carcassonne, and the estate was founded. Today Chateau Jouclary has 65 hectares of vineyards which lie between the city and the 'Montagne Noir' (Black Mountain) on an airy plateau which is perfect for viticulture. These vineyards are now farmed by 3rd generation winemaker Pascal Gianesini, whose family came from Genova in the early 20th century. The entire estate is certified for sustainable viticulture and the effervescent Pascal makes a range of excellent wines from both local and international grape varieties.
