Barrel fermentation in new and used French oak and Chestnut barrels (30% new), followed by a 12 month ageing on the fine lees create aromas of orange peel, amaro liqueur, saffron, fennel seed and dried apricots that soar from the glass. It is all held intact by pleasantly dry tannins and good acidity, leading to a medium long finish.
