You want your special day to be perfect, and we want that too. That means the best wines, the best service and the least amount of worry possible. St Andrews Wine Company can provide that for you - simply contact us and we'll arrange a meeting with you over the phone, Skype, Facetime or in person.

We want your wedding to go well and seamlessly, so have created a ten point guide to help you with your drinks choices for your reception.

  1. Drink what YOU like!  A lot of people worry about what their guests will like and think they need a dozen different wines. It is your day so make sure you get the wine you like.

  2. Wine is easy to organise  Don't worry about ordering months in advance.  Dresses, venues, food - they all need loads of time to plan, for wine, a month is normally more than enough!  If you require a specific wine however, do give us a few months notice so we can source it.

  3. Ask about Corkage Charge  Don't let venues insist on providing the wine.  You can usually get better wine for less money than their house wine by buying from a shop and paying the venue a corkage charge.  Remember they need your business, so always ask about corkage and don't take no for an answer.

  4. Quantity  Estimate 5 glasses of wine per bottle so take the number of guests, divide by 5 and that is the number of bottles you'll need for one glass per person.  Simply multiply that by the number of glasses you think each person will drink.

  5. Cost  Once you have the number of bottles you need, take your budget for wine and divide by that number.  That is the price per bottle you will be spending.

  6. Sale or return  As these calculations are a bit of guess work, we provide you with sale or return.  Our standard policy is up to 25% of each wine taken, but this is usually flexible.  Please ask for further details.  We can also deliver everything to your venue as well. Please note that we will only collect returns if arranged in advance.

  7. Ignore big discounts!  I know that sounds silly, but none of your guests will know or care if you got '30% off', but they will care if the wine is awful because you couldn't try before you buy.  Our expertise is finding you the best wine at whatever price you want to spend, so quality is never compromised.

  8. Ask us about your bar  Regardless of whether you want a free bar or a cash bar for your guests, ask us about it. We are usually the most cost effective way of having a bar at your wedding because we don't charge 'on trade' prices.

  9. Arrange a tasting  If you are having trouble deciding on the wine for your wedding, why not have a fun night with your friends and arrange a wine tasting to select your wines.  We can send someone along to guide you through the wines if you wish.

  10. Relax  We can sort everything out for you, just email and let us help make your day wonderful.

We can also help you with finding the perfect suppliers, caterers and venues for your wedding. Here are just a few of our favourite wedding providers.
