France
France is where everyone thinks of when wine is mentioned, such has been their massive impact on the world of wine. The range here is immense - from delicate crisp Alsatian wines, through oaky Chardonnays, to spicy Rhone reds and, of course, the great red wines of Burgundy and Bordeaux. Oh, and don't forget fizz, not just from Champagne, but places like Limoux and the Loire too.
There are also the hidden gems in France, from the south west, Savoie, Jura... its a country that just keeps on providing wonderful flavours and evolution - and all the while, very much traditional.
