Alsace

Sheltered by the Vogues mountains, Alsace is the driest wine producing region in France, and also tends to produce single varietal wines. Elegant, pretty and, most importantly wonderfully balanced white wines, their real stars are Riesling and Gewurztraminer, but do pay attention to their delicious Cremant sparkling wines as well.
