Lowland

A decade ago, there were two active Lowland distilleries, Glenkinchie and Auchentoshan. Now there are a growing number, either resurrected distilleries such as Bladnoch, or new producers like Kingsbarns. 
Making wonderful lighter styles of whisky, the Lowlands is by far the most exciting region in Scotland at the moment, with more and more distilleries opening every year.
