Naughton Cider Company

My friend Peter Crawford established Naughton Cider Company in 2020, based at his family estate near Balmarino, some 15 miles from the shop. Peter and I used to work together twenty years ago at Oddbins in St Andrews, and from there he went on to become one of, if not the leading authority on Champagne in the UK.

Not able to grow grapes in the frozen north, he decided with his wife, Sarah, to create a cider company, planting hundreds of trees, and using the apples from the ancient trees in his walled garden.

His ciders are all vinous than a lot of cider producers, more like apple wine or apple champagne! They all show remarkable balance and elegance and if you like cider.... or wine.... you should try them. Expect awards to come thick and fast for this producer.
