Cockburns Vintage Port 1985 75cl

£84.95 GBP

Tasting Note

Impressively deep, currants, blueberries and a wonderful evolved style of wine. Spice emerges from the wine on the finish.

Producer

Back in 1815, Robert and John Cockburn, two brothers from Scotland, moved back to Portugal after fighting there under Wellington in the Napoleonic Wars. They established their port house which eventually was sold to Harvey's of Bristol in 1962. That then became part of Allied Domecq and then Pernod Ricard before the Symington family came in and bought it in 2010.
