Producer

Nerkihue (pronounced ne-reh-key-way) is a family winery located in Lolol, Colchagua Valley, on steep slopes and influenced by the marine Pacific. The family have farmed there since 1930, but Loly – the current generation winemaker – focuses on wines with freshness and immediacy. Planted on clay-loam soils, there’s plenty of ripe fruit, but care is taken to concentrate yields with high density planting and careful selection. It’s then fermented in stainless steel before ageing in large, neutral oak for 14 months to round it out. The result is a bright, fresh Cabernet Sauvignon with lots of fruit and herbaceous undertones. Only 2,800 bottles were produced.

MOVI is a group of Chilean winemakers who all make a small amount of wine, and the group allows them to get their wine into international wine markets. If you see the MOVI logo, it means that you are supporting small growers - which is what we are all about.
