Domaine Bitouzet-Prieur

The current winemaker, Vincent Bitouzet, places an emphasis on respecting each lieu-dit, creating serious, age-worthy wines, and attention to detail. These wines are excellent examples of their respective terroirs, from the Mersault range to the Pulginy-Montrachets to the Volnay 1er Crus. Not only do the wines from Bitouzet-Prieur have the potential to be cellared for years, they have the hallmark of an outstanding producer: extraordinary consistency in poor vintages. A the old saying goes, anyone can make good wine in a good year, but only a great winemaker can make good wine in a bad year. Vincent Bitouzet certainly is a great winemaker.
