MEURSAULT, BURGUNDY, FRANCE
Domaine Coche-Bizouard's wines are stunning. Intended to have some bottle age on them, they come from vines with an average age of between thirty and forty years. Their nine hectares of vines around Meursault produce wines that are made in an old fashioned way, very much hands off. Alain Coche has recently handed over winemaking to his son Fabien, but he will be keeping his eye on things!
Meursault doesn't have any Grand Cru vineyards, but the premier crus from this producer are rarely surpassed.
