Francois Leclair, owner of Domaine de la Rochette, has tirelessly sought to improve the Touraine appellation; he was at the forefront of the push for new AOCs within the sprawling Touraine appellation in 2011. Francois is the fourth generation of the Leclair family that has run Domaine de la Rochette. Now joined by his son vincent, Francois has embraced modern technology in the vinification process; the Domaine has brand new thermal-regulated stainless steel tanks. Despite this, the Leclair family maintains its respect for tradition and terroir. They limit the yield of their vines so as to produce wine that is vibrant and full of flavour. When drinking these wines, you can taste the love the Leclair family has for their home on the slopes of the Loire.
