COTE-DE-NUITS, BURGUNDY
Operating 12.5 hectares of vineyards, the brother/sister team of Gilbert and Christine produce a range of wines. However, they are primarily known for their premier cru Chambolle-Musigny. Even the village level Chambolle-Musigny cuvées are astounding, often consisting of grapes from 25-30 different plots. These wines typically age for 18 months in old French oak, giving them a subtle, classy feel to them. This domaine is not as ancient as many of its neighbours, but this allows Gilbert and Christine to innovate and branch out form the traditional ways. It's always good to see newcomers to the scene do well.
