Run by Bernard Bouvier since 1992, Domaine René Bouvier follows biodynamic principles and puts the expression of terroir first and foremost. Whenever possible, they produce wine from a single plot in order to emphasise the particular lieux-dit it is from. Bernard states his primary goal as searching for purity of expression, well-balanced wine, and minerality. Through the use of organic practices and responsible agriculture, Bernard truly displays his respect for the land and the terroir which characterises his wine. Domaine René Bouvier's focus on terroir results in a tremendously unique experience. Each wine is a glimpse into the specific plots and, as Bernard describes it, into the soul of the land.
