Ferdinand's Gin

SAAR, GERMANY

This unique gin has been named after the apparently famous (I think you have to move in certain circles) Royal Prussian District Forester Ferdinand Geltz (1851-1925). Founder of the VDP Mosel-Saar-Ruwer, he was instrumental in promotion the domestic and international reputation of Riesling.

This unique, Riesling infused gin is the product of two great drinks makers. Dorothee Zilliken is the winemaker who works with her parents at her family winery. The distiller in this company is Andreas Vallendar who continues the family legacy of distilling that started in 1824.
