Lying in the heart of Chianti Classico in a valley called ‘Conca d’Oro’ or the golden shell because of it’s shell shape meaning lots of high altitude areas creating a fantastic winemaking area.

The Manetti family who have been residents of the area for centuries, although initially as manufacturers of terracotta tiles, have owned Fontodi since 1968.  They don't use chemicals on any of their 70 hectares.
