Fox Run Vineyards
FINGER LAKES, NEW YORK STATE, USA
A dairy farm for over a century, Fox Run had its first grapes planted in 1984 and the dairy barn converted into a winery in 1990, three years before Scott Osborn took over.
The company is like a family - Scott and his wife Ruth having owned the vineyard for 22 years, but winemaker John Kaiser and assistant winemaker Peter Bell being there for 32 and 20 years respectively, with the aim to "chase deliciousness" in every wine they make. The region is very good for Riesling, and nineteen of the 50 acres they have is planted with this noble grape. Fox Run has nine different Rieslings in their portfolio, just showing their commitment to this great grape.
