Most of these mature wines come straight from the producer, unless their history is otherwise stated. I prefer not to buy stock from auctions or private cellars , but when I do, I price them accordingly and make sure they are in good condition.
A lovely aged Pinot Noir from the land of the Hobbit (New Zealand). Wonderful elegance, red berry fruit and a long, funky, farmyardy note coming off. Cracking stuff.
"Lurton wanted their whites to go into screwtop but by the 2014 vintage the French market had forced them to abandon this plan. Fortunately the 2006 is in screwcap and is unbelievably fresh for a wine that is over a...
"A delightful red wine - with decades ageing it has savoury notes, a delicious spice and dried berries galore. Superb and fun." Caves de Sao Joao started in 1930, producing sparkling wines. They have an extensive range of old wines,...
"Coming from the Chateau straight to us in St Andrews, this 1990 is from one of the two exceptional vintages of 1989 and 1990. About to enter a stretch of mediocre vintages until 1995, 1990 was the last hoorah for...
A phenomenal bottle of Barolo, mature and from a legendary year. This has silky, soft tannin, lovely fruit and exquisite balance. This aged Barolo is a real experience, you have to try it!
Cabernet Franc with a couple of decades ageing is bound to be brilliant and this doesn't disappoint! Dusty, earthy and mature, this is a super wine with roast pork. Le Logis de la Bouchardière dates from 1850. The current incumbent...
Begins with an extraordinarily intense nose, smelling like the lime bit of chocolate lime sweets, and sleek minerality. While it is technically a sweet wine, there is enough natural acidity to it that you can hardly feel the sweetness; this wine...
A wonderous old wine - raisins, tree bark, leather, asian spices... a never ending flavour that you just keep tasting long after your glass is empty! Just beautiful and balanced. If you, or a friend or relative, love port, PLEASE...
From the first year that the Arran distillery produced whisky, this is surely going to become a wonderful collectors item, but is also a very tasty whisky. Only 172 bottles of this whisky were produced.
Aged in the family owned Chateau, this has baked plums, cassis and spice on the now with a silky, long aged fruit finish. Family-owned since 1901, Château Gaudin is an 11-hectare estate with a vineyard planted on the gravel ridge of...

Uncoloured and Unfiltered as it should be! Ardmore is known for it's distinctive peaty character unusual for a Highland Malt, and I think one of the hidden gems in Scotland. The distillery is less than 120 years old and it...
Portugal has produced brandies for many centuries. This brandy is aged in old French oak barrels from the Limousin region for a minimum of 5 years. This gives it an intense colour, aroma and smooth taste. The toast, balsamic and...

"The finest Figeac since the 1990 and 1982, the restrained, but complex 2005 exhibits notes of black olives, new saddle leather, tobacco leaf, and sweet cherry and black currant fruit. The wine is medium-bodied with racy tannins as well as...
A brilliant sweet Chenin Blanc from 1985, aromas of sherry, musky mushroom notes and a raisin quality too. The palate is lovely, again some more oxidised sherry flavours but with a little sweetness creeping through.
