Philippe Raimbault
Philippe Raimbault comes from a family of winemakers going back many generations, and now owns vineyards on both sides of the Loire River in the Sancerre, Pouilly Fumé and Coteaux du Giennois appellations.
The soil of the terroir is a part of a geological stratum formed during the secondary era of the Jurassic period and fossils of sea creatures more than 130 million years-old are still discovered in these vineyards (some are on exhibit in the cellar).
