Luis Lourenco is a lovely chap, and with his co-winemaker Rui Reguinga, they make fabulous wines in the Dao region of Portugal.  A 40 hectare estate, Lourenco's family estate grows indigenous varieties, indeed Touriga Nacional is possibly at its best in this area.  Over three quarters of the vineyards are planted with red grapes, but his Encruzado is a white wine that you must experience at some point if you are a true wine lover - perhaps the best single varietal wine made with this grape anywhere!
