Alpha Zeta Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso 2015 75cl

OK, so is this a proper Ripasso? Technically it is, it has the right grapes and is from the right area. Traditionally Ripasso wines were refermented on the skins of Amarone, but this is a modern version, refermenting the wine with the dried grapes giving a lot more body and depth. This wine is delicious, powerful and rich. Loads of chocolate, black cherries, vanilla and then bitter dark cocoa nib flavours on the end. A delight.
