Barbaglia Boca 2016 75cl
Tasting Note
Producer
Located in Alto Piemonte, at the foothills of Monte Rosa, Azienda Vitivinicola Barbaglia stands in one of the historical production areas for Nebbiolo, known locally as Spanna, within the Boca DOC region. Led by the rigorous oenologist Sergio Barbaglia and his daughter Silvia, the winery meticulously manages four hectares of estate vineyards. Barbaglia’s Boca wine, crafted in adherence to both tradition and DOC regulations, is primarily a blend of Nebbiolo with a small addition of Vespolina. The winemaking process involves fermentation in steel tanks at 27-28° C and maceration on the skins for about 15 days. The wine matures in large oak barrels for 18 months, ensuring a harmonious development of flavors. This careful blend of traditional practices and regulated standards showcases the winery’s commitment to producing distinguished wines that reflect the unique terroir of Boca.
