Wow - the wine casking of this lovely Caol Ila really makes the whisky sing. A pungent medicinal aroma with bonfires, smoked oatcakes and then some dark berry fruit emerges. The palate has a sweetness up front, lovely medicinal notes and then a honey flavour. Spice on the back end.
