Chateau Cailloux de By 2016 75cl

£19.95 GBP

Tasting Note

Matured for a few extra years we have just six bottles of this delicious wine from the boys at Tour de By. Mature, showing tertiary fruit notes, with some cinnamon bark and a forest floor flavour - a great opportunity to see how well a good entry level wine can age.

Producer

This great property is now run by two of the late Marc Pagès’s grandsons, Frédéric Le Clerc (ex Ecole Polytechnique) and Benjamin Richer des Forges. They are very capable. A further 12 hectares of superb land were purchased to add to the 55 hectares. The average age of the vines is well over 40 years. A new impressive temperature controlled storage cellar has also been built.

Country: France | Region: Medoc, Bordeaux | Alcohol: 13.5% | Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot | Vegetarian
