Aged in the family owned Chateau, this has baked plums, cassis and spice on the now with a silky, long aged fruit finish.
Family-owned since 1901, Château Gaudin is an 11-hectare estate with a vineyard planted on the gravel ridge of Pauillac in a wonderful location just between Pichon and Lynch-Bages. The 45-year-old vines are planted on gravel-clay soils. The grapes are hand-picked and then fermented in traditional concrete tanks which sometimes achieve a softer more complex result than stainless steel. The wine then is aged in oak and concrete for 18 months before release.
