Tasting Note
"Silky smooth palate with a cherry like finish. A superb example of this grape."
Producer
If you visit there, see the cows. The estate had always owned cows until about 10 years ago but now Kurt, an ecologically-minded young man, has decided to bring them back, in part, no doubt, to help fertilise his biodynamic vineyard. The town of Rust is situated on the Western side of Lake Neusiedl, an ideal microclimate for the production of noble sweet botrytised wines. The Ruster Ausbruch wines are deservedly world-famous, from a village renowned since the C17th for its sweet wine; brilliant intensity, voluptuous sweetness, complexity and balance.
