Classic Grèves. Green pineapple, green mango, lime curd, creme anglais; it reminds Andrew of his favourite ice cream growing up in Australia; The Splice. Not-quite-tropical and not-quite- citrus flavours dance together, drowning the mouth. Some notes of exotic nuts, macadamia perhaps, hint at complexity that will reveal itself in time. Grand Cru palate weight. Up there with the best Grèves we have made to date.
It's rich and exotic, with a creamy mid-palate, subdued oak and a citrus cut, leading to a long and refined finish. Tim Atkin, 93/100
Fulsome apricot aroma. It is generous upfront onto the palate. This is no doubt an opulent wine with good depth underscored with a straight minerality.I like the straight and assertive finish. Under the depth of texture, there is tension. Sarah Marsh MW, 17.95/20
Broad and relaxed on the nose. Not as tense as the St Aubin and Santenay. Almost rich! But with quite a chew on the end. Jancis Robinson, 16++/20
