Such a wonderfully strange, but delicious wine. 80% of the Garganega grapes are frozen, 20% dried, and then the wine made with them has a burgundian like quality - textural, fresh stone fruit and a wonderful aromatic balance. Strange? Yes. Delicious? 100%!

In the hills of northeast Italy above the beautiful, medieval town of Verona, in the original or classico’ area of production lie the vineyards of Stefano Cesari. In his family winery he makes top class Valpolicella, Amarone and Recioto. The family is a founder member of the Families of Amarone – a group of 12 producing families dedicated to maintain high quality Amarone.
