Vieux Chateau Gaubert 2010 75cl

£24.95

Tasting Note: A wonderful Bordeaux that you can easily put away for a decade and then still have a decade to drink it. A stellar year and a superb wine. If you haven't tried this producer, do, as it will reward you time and time again.

Producer: Vieux Château Gaubert has 40 hectares of vines at Portets in the heart of the Graves appellation. The low-yielding old vines produce a rich, concentrated, age-worthy wine seasoned with a judicious dose of new oak. Château Civrac-Lagrange, in Pessac-Léognan, was bought by Dominique Haverlan in 2004. Vinification is in stainless steel vats followed by 12 months maturation in 30% new oak barrels.
