Founded as a wine export company in 1680, the company is still owned by the same family that purchased vineyards in 1643. Now with Dr Dirk Max Ferd. Richter, the ninth generation, and his successor Constantin running the firm, they farm 48 acres (on steep slopes) where 95% are Riesling and 5% Pinot Blanc.
