Armas de Guerra
BIERZO, SPAIN
Armas de Guerra’ translates to ‘Weapons of War’, and Bierzo in north-western Spain, is where they have chosen to fight their war, since 1879! Man against vine. Each label depicts various weapons of choice, used to combat the never ending war to maintain and sustain a healthy vineyard, and in this case, Armas de Guerra’s efforts are not in vain. They specialise in the indigenous grape varieties of the region and work closely with the land, always aiming for the least amount of intervention as possible. Armas de Guerra have stuck with tradition and produce only unoaked wines, to remain in keeping with the fresh and fruit driven style of the Bierzo region.
