Established in 1982 by Fred Cline, he decided not to go down the route of Cabernet and Chardonnay production as he had some 'magnificent old vines in my own backyard'. Old gnarly vines providing fabulous quality grapes have been aided by Cline operating beyond the industry standard definition of organic, using cover crops, weeding goats and have also solar panels to provide more electricity than the winery needs.
