Domaine Joseph & Philippe Roty

Brothers Philippe and Pierre-Jean Roty inherited this domaine, the eleventh generation to do so, when their father Joseph passed away in 2008. He had been instrumental in building a huge following for his wines, but Philippe had already been the winemaker for some time so there was no change in the style of wine.

Since then, Pierre-Jean has come into the business and they also established a sister company, Domaine Philippe Roty, which has the same winemaking philosophy, just different cuvees. Sadly, Philippe passed away at the end of 2015 after a long illness at the far too young age of 46, leaving Pierre-Jean to continue these twin domaines.
