Domaines Schlumberger

Domaines Schlumberger was established in the early 19th century when Nicolas Schlumberger set up his textile machinery factory in Guebwiller. He also bought 20 hectares of vines and three generations later Ernest Schlumberger took control of the estate, left pretty much abandoned since phylloxera hit in the early 20th century.
Ernest saw the potential of the region and bought vineyards, replanting and, with Eric Beydon-Schlumberget coming into the business in 1971, they have built the reputation of the company.
