A producer of some of the finest Cognac, Pierre Ferrand don't use the usual VSOP or XO names for their brandies as the age of the spirits are way above what is needed to be called this. They are distilled in small pot stills, before being placed into barrels of different ages and toasting levels before being blended into the product you get in the glass.
