Giuseppe Quintarelli

During six decades, Giuseppe Quintarelli became a producer that claimed mythical status.  How can you talk about this producer when the wines he made are so far ahead of every other producer?  He took Valpolicella from being light table wine and elevated it into fine wine where every aspect of his wine was done to perfection and nothing was ever rushed.  

Giuseppe Quintarelli passed away in 2012, but the company had been passed onto his daughter Fiorenza and her husband and children.  They continue to be the benchmark wines from Valpolicella and are unlikely ever to be rivalled, with his nephew Marco in charge of the winemaking.
