Chateau Goulefaisan 2015 75cl

£17.95 GBP

Tasting Note

Lots of lovely ripe plum, blackcurrant and then a clove and nutmeg note coming off. There is a little oak on the palate with a long, elegant finish that is nicely mature.

Producer

Known once as Goulefaisan, Chateau La Tour-Marcillanet was built in the 14th century, directly west of Saint-Julien, but it was in the 18th century that it adopted is current appearance. In 1991, Marc and Claire Ponsar renovated the vineyards and Chateau, but now they are retiring and are clearing their wine stocks.
