- This Chateau has been owned by numerous walks of life - the Marquis de Latresne family (Knights of the Order of Malta) who were the first owners in the 18th century, as well as several others, including a German family, the Voncampes.in 1984, the estate was then taken over by Prince Guy de Polignac, a relative of the Monaco royal family who was looking to acquire a vineyard in the Bordeaux region after his experience in Champagne - the family coat of arms of the Price still remains engraved on the entrance to the Chateau!
Since 1995 the Lapalu family has tenant farmed the estate and in 1996 by combining Chateau Patache d’Aux, Lacombe Noaillac and Liversan, ‘Les Trois Chateaux’ was created, which was then taken over by Antoine Moueix properties in 2010. Following this new ownership, investments were made in Chateau Liversan’s winery and vineyard to improve both the wine and the estate to the highest level of Haut-Medoc Cru Bourgeois. Since July 2019, the estate has been part of a joint venture with the Chinese group Changyu which aims to continue the development of the property and promote the Chateau internationally.
