I'm always looking for the 'next big thing' in wine, and at the moment, South African wines, and their whites in particular, are the most exciting wines that are available on the planet. Two winemakers in particular, Chris Alheit (Alheit Vineyards) and John Seccombe (Thorne & Daughters) are leading the way when it comes to exquisite fine wine from the Cape.
