Tasting Note

'A bright wine with subtle aromas of spice, tar and then candle wax with some rounder, fleshier fruit. The palate is medium bodied with yellow plum, more spice and herbs.'

Producer

Bosquet des Pape's history started in 1860, with the first investments in local vineyard by Emmanuel Boiron. His son, Joseph-Victor, then his grandson Joseph followed his footsteps and create the “Clos Chantemerle” entity in 1936.

Maurice re-named the estate in 1966 to BOSQUET DES PAPES. The family then owned 27 hectares of Châteauneuf du Pape. Bosquet des Papes are like many estates in the southern Rhone, spread out over the appellation. In all, their vines are located in more than forty separate plots in Chateauneuf du Pape. They own old vines with the average age of their vines close to 50 years.
