Chateau Lamothe Bouscaut Blanc 2020 75cl

£29.95

Tasting Note

Seriously - just start buying white Bordeaux and particularly this gem from Pessac-Leognan. A wonderful mix of green grassy notes and rounder stone fruit. Delightful.

Producer

An MW tasting for Pessac Leognan put Château Bouscaut firmly in first place against all comers. Laurent Cogombles and his wife Sophie Lurton have really worked at placing the white wines and also the red wines in the first division. Bouscaut is now producing some of the best wines in Pessac Léognan and certainly one of the best value wines in this much sought-after part of the Graves.

Lamothe Bouscaut comes from a specific “lieu-dit” and represents great value. There are 47 hectares under vine, the barrel fermented white is a blend of 50% Sémillon, 50% Sauvignon Blanc. The red is a blend of 55% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc & Malbec.
