Chateau des Gravieres 2015 75cl

£37.95 GBP

Covering a total of 13 hectares, this vineyard produces 40,000 bottles a year, only a small percentage of which actually gets exported to the UK. The château and its vineyard have been passed down from father to son since the current winemaker’s great-grandfather bought the first plots at ‘Le Gravier’. The family have a great sense of merely ‘guiding’ the vineyard towards the future. They still use traditional methods and work with a cosmic calendar putting a great focus on biodynamic agriculture. As part of the Margaux appellation, these wines include Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Carmenère. Each plot is harvested and vinified separately to allow for the best treatment of each grape variety.
