I Ciacca has been home to the Di Ciacca family for over 500 years. Having been abandoned over 50 years ago and even removed from maps, now only historic maps will show this property where modern maps do not! Recently, I Ciacca has been restored and whilst maintaining sustainability at the forefront of its values, they dedicate themselves to maintaining and sharing the food, wine, culture and tradition of hospitality of the local area, Picinisco and Val di Comino. 

The Di Ciacca family have roots not only in Picinisco but also in Scotland as with the turn of the 20th century the family decided to move there. Now many of the current generation have been born and brought up in Scotland.
