Vinos de Terrunos Boa Bobal 2020 75cl
Tasting Note
Wild flowers, then red fruit on the nose before a lovely simple, fruity note that masks a bittersweet note giving structure. Great with spicy sausages, or just a cracking barbecue
Boa is the result of an integration between technology and innovation with the tradition of two generations of farmers, using ecological cultivation methods to obtain the best wines. The location of the vineyards is in the municipality of Sinarcas within the Denomination of Origin, Valencia. With cold winters, soft springs and autumns, and hot-dry summers. e land presents diverse textures, predominating limestone, brown, clay and gravel. In this way, the suitable combination of climate and “terroir” that our location presents, favors the obtaining of wines with soft tannins. Boa is a wine obtained through the native variety of Bobal grape, from old vines with low production and manual harvest. Boa is a cuvée made especially for Vinos de Terruños by Familia Pastor Gilabert in collaboration with the winemaker and viticulturist Sebas Mancebo, pioneer in certified farming in Sinarcas, Valencia. Vinication: Grapes from old vineyards harvested manually. Fermented in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts with a subsequent light filtering before bottling.
Producer
Jose and Teresa Pastor were hoteliers who went into winemaking in 2003. They work with small growers (growers who have small plots of land - this isn't a Gulliver's Travels thing here) to make wines that are really showing their regional character.
